Pinpottery

I create architectural ceramics in my Prague studio, with a focus on geometric forms, precision and functionality. My work includes mugs, cups and teapots, created for design-conscious people who care about the objects they live with and use every day. I am interested in the tension between precise geometry and the individuality of the handmade: strong angles, crisp corners, considered proportions, and objects that are functional and ergonomic without becoming ordinary. I develop each form from the first prototype through wheel throwing, hand-building, mould-making and slip casting to hand-finishing. I spend substantial time refining each design until it passes my rigorous quality standards. My aim is to bring a small piece of art into everyday rituals. “Quiet objects with strong opinions.”
